Cambodia to Host a Three-Day Win-Win Memorial Inauguration


Phnom Penh , Dec. 25 – The Royal Government of Cambodia will host a three-day Win-Win Memorial Inauguration from 29-31 December 2018, presided over by Samdech Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of Cambodia.

“Cambodia congratulates the historic achievements of the Win-Win Memorial, a symbol of national reconciliation, solidarity, territorial integrity, development, and prosperity of Cambodia,” Prime Minister wrote Tuesday on Facebook.

“May I invite our compatriots to join the Win-Win Memorial Inauguration, to be held opposite the New Olympic Stadium located in development area of Ly Yong Phat in Phnom Penh’s Chroy Changvar district,” he added.

Major General Ci Guowei, Director-General of International Military Cooperation, Chinese Central Military Commission; Vietnamese Defense Minister, GeneralGeneral Ngo Xuan Lich. General Chansamone Chanyalath Deputy Defence Minister of People’s Republic of Lao; and Thai Defense Minister Prawit Wongsuwon will lead the delegation to attend Win-Win Memorial Inauguration, according to defense spokesman General Chum Socheat.

Win-Win Memorial aims to serve as remembrances for all Khmer heroes who sacrificed their lives for the motherland and tell the next generation the real history of Cambodia.

The building is a symbol of peace and joy after ending the chronic civil war two decades ago in 1998.

According to the vice chairman of the construction committee, the statues on the ground floor around the win-win compound had been carved, presenting the journey of comrade Hun Sen liberating Cambodia from Pol Pot Regime.
