Royal Cambodian Army Marks its 20th Founding Anniversary


Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen and his spouse Samdech Kittiprittbandit Bun Rany Hun Sen presided over this morning the commemoration of the 20th founding anniversary of Royal Cambodian Army.

The celebration, which also displays modern military equipment, took place at the Royal Cambodian Army Command located along National Road No. 4 in Sangkat Kantok, Khan Pursenchey, Phnom Penh.

High-ranking government officials, representatives of foreign diplomatic corps as well as foreign military attachés were also on hand.

Founded on Jan. 24, 1999, the Royal Cambodian Army is now headed by H.E. Gen. Hun Manet, also a Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces (RCAF) in replacement of H.E. Gen. Meas Sophea who has become Senior Minister.
