Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries and a delegation of Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) of the United Nations led by its Country Representative Mr. Alexandre Huynh have discussed the status on the amendment of the Fisheries Law.
According to the ministry’s press release, the meeting between the minister H.E. Veng Sakhon and the FAO delegation took place this morning at the ministry here in Phnom Penh.
H.E. Veng Sakhon thanked legal experts of the UN food and agriculture agency who are technically supporting the amendment of the fisheries law for a new version that can ensure sustainable fisheries resource management.
Mr. Alexandre Huynh expressed his appreciation for the good cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries and was very optimistic of the improvement of the Fisheries Law.
