On Monday Morning, 12 November 2018, H.E Veng Sakhon, Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, chaired a closed meeting with technical officials to review the process and result of the implementation of land allocation schemes for social affairs and economic development part 2 LASED II.
The Land Allocation for Social and Economic Development is a project to support the implementation of the Royal Government’s Land Concession Program in allocating land to poor, landless and lacking land through social land concessions to improve the quality of living in the 5 provinces including Takeo, Tbong Khmum, Kampong Thom, Kampong Chhnang and Kampong Speu.
The meeting focused below contexts:
1. The challenges and lack of implementation of the project
2. To Study and evaluate in detail the status of the land and the definition of cultivated areas
3. Cultivation in accordance with economic growth
4. Find solutions to make the project successful with sustainable development.
