Foreign Nationals in Cambodia to Have Access to Free COVID-19 Vaccination

Foreign nationals in Cambodia will be vaccinated against the COVID-19 pandemic free of charge, according to a diplomatic note of the Cambodian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and international Cooperation sent yesterday to Diplomatic Missions and the Office of the United Nations Resident Coordinator in Phnom Penh.

“With regard to the start of the Vaccination Campaign in Cambodia, all foreign nationals who are currently residing and working in Cambodia can get vaccinated against COVID-19 at no charge in accordance with Cambodian COVID-19 Vaccination Plans,” underlined the diplomatic note.

In this connection, it added, the relevant vaccination details and procedures for the aforementioned foreign nationals will be provided in due course.

Cambodia’s vaccination campaign against COVID-19 began on Feb. 10 after receiving 600,000 doses of China-donated Sinopharm vaccine, of which 300,000 for the Ministry of Health and the rest for the Ministry of National Defence.

As of Feb. 24, more than 50,000 Cambodian people, both civilian and military, have got their first doses of the vaccine.
