Cambodia-China Friendship Hospital Construction to be Completed by End of November


The US$45 million worth Cambodia-China Friendship Hospital in Thbong Khmum, a regional hospital covering the provinces of Thbong Khmum, Kratie, Rattanakiri, Stung Treng and Mondulkiri, will be completed by the end of November.

H.E. Dr. Mam Bunheng, Minister of Health, led the ministry’s delegation to inspect the construction site on Nov. 23.

The groundbreaking ceremony for the hospital’s construction took place on Mar. 1, 2019 under the presidency of Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen.

Built at a cost of US$45,660,000 with a grant from the People’s Republic of China, the hospital will consist of 300 beds in total.

Once the construction completed, the Ministry of Health will request Samdech Techo Prime Minister to officially inaugurate the hospital.
