PM Hun Sen Thanks Krirk University for Providing Scholarships to Cambodian Students


Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, has expressed thanks to Krirk University for granting 40 scholarship posts to Cambodian students to pursue their studies in Thailand.

According to H.E. Eang Sophalleth, Assistant to the Cambodian Premier, in a meeting here this morning with visiting Prof. Krasae Chanawangse, President of Krirk University and Member of the Board of Directors of the Asian Disaster Preparedness Centre, Samdech Techo Hun Sen also thanked Prof. Krasae Chanawangse for naming the scholarship programme after the Prime Minister and recommended him to discuss with H.E. Hang Chuon Naron, Cambodian Minister of Education, Youth and Sports on the selection of Cambodian students for the scolarships.

Apart from the scholarship provision, Prof. Krasae Chanawangse briefed Samdech Techo Hun Sen on the progress of the Asian Disaster Preparedness Centre, and wished to pay a courtesy visit to the Premier again next year.

Samdech Techo Hun Sen welcomed the fact that the Asian Disaster Preparedness Centre becomes and international centre, stressing that it should conduct more specific actions to deal with disasters.

Samdech Techo Prime Minister also expressed his pleasure and pledged to meet with Prof. Krasae Chanawangse every time he visits Cambodia.
