Cambodia, Japan Discuss Bilateral Cooperation on Agriculture Sector

Cambodia and Japan have exchanged views on promotion of bilateral cooperation, especially in the field of agriculture.

The discussion was made in a meeting between H.E. Dith Tina, Cambodian Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries and H.E. Mikami Masahiro, Japanese Ambassador to Cambodia at the ministry’s office in Phnom Penh late last week, according to Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).

On the occasion, both sides discussed the issues of bilateral cooperation for improving Cambodia’s agricultural sector.

They also highlighted the importance of promoting agricultural product safety and quality, agri-food value chain, the exports of Cambodia’s agricultural products, and private sector investment in this sector.

With years-long experience in cooperation, both sides have committed to elevate good relationship and cooperation to the next level through implementing various technical cooperation projects.
