Cambodian Senate President Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen held talks yesterday with H.E. Sheikh Faisal bin Thani bin Faisal Al Thani, Minister of Commerce and Industry and H.E. Mohammed Saif Al-Sowaidi, Chief Executive Officer of the Qatar Investment Authority (QIA).
In the meeting in Doha yesterday, Samdech Techo Hun Sen expressed his pleasure to brief them about the potential of the agricultural sector, especially rice, cashew nuts, cassava and many other products, which provide opportunities for Qatari investors to process and export to Qatar and other countries in the region and the world.
At the same time, Samdech Techo Hun Sen also desired to strengthen and expand bilateral cooperation in the economic, trade and investment sectors and stressed that two important documents, including an agreement on the promotion and protection of mutual investments and an agreement on economic, trade and technical cooperation, should be signed in the near future.
For this part, H.E. Sheikh Faisal bin Thani bin Faisal Al Thani thanked Samdech Techo for the important information sharing on the economic and investment opportunities and potential in Cambodia and said that the two sides will work together to reach the above-mentioned two agreements.
