Newly appointed Cambodian Ambassadors to ten foreign countries are committed to working hard to promote the national tourism as well as strengthen cooperation with their respective host countries.
The commitment was made during a courtesy meeting here on Monday between Minister of Tourism H.E. Huot Hak and H.E. Chea Chanboribo, Cambodian Ambassador to Bulgaria, Romania, Greece and Cyprus; H.E. Ms. Kimsour Sovannary, Cambodian Ambassador to Belgium, Austria, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, and Permanent Representative to the European Union; H.E. Chey Ratha, Cambodian Ambassador to Brunei; and H.E. Sin Saream, Cambodian Ambassador to the Philippines.
The tourism minister requested the new ambassadors to disseminate the real situation in Cambodia, including peace, security, and public order, and to timely respond to fake news that affects Cambodia’s reputation and her tourism sector.
For their part, the new Cambodian diplomats were positive about attracting more tourists and investors to Cambodia during their tenure.
