Ministry, KOICA Discuss New Vocational Development Project

The Minister of Labour and Vocational Training and the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) have discussed a new project for Cambodia’s vocational and talent development.

H.E. Heng Sour met Ms. Choi Moon Jung, Country Director of KOICA Cambodia Office, at the ministry on Feb. 5.

The Minister spoke highly of the KOICA’s contribution to Cambodia’s development for over 20 years and encouraged the KOICA team to finalise the draft of Cambodia’s Vocational and Talent Development Project for 2026-2030 that it will support.

He was confident that the project will further enhance vocational and technical training in Cambodia to respond to the needs of industry and advanced technology.

Ms. Choi Moon Jung expressed appreciation for the good cooperation between the ministry and KOICA and hoped to complete the draft project and get it approved for implementation.

She was pleased that the project is in line with Cambodia’s priority in improving its skilled workforce, while Korea is also looking for skilled labour from overseas.
