DPM Hang Chuon Naron Receives Malaysian Ambassador


H.E. Dr. Hang Chuon Naron, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education, Youth, and Sports received here on Feb. 18 a courtesy call from H.E. Shaharuddin Onn, Malaysian Ambassador to Cambodia.

In the meeting, H.E. Dr. Hang Chuon Naron recalled the sound cooperation between Cambodia and Malaysia, particularly in the education sector through scholarship and student exchange programmes.

He profoundly thanked the Malaysian government for the scholarships and student exchange programmes to Cambodia, noting that these programmes have significantly contributed to human resource development in Cambodia.

For his part, H.E. Shaharuddin Onn thanked the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports for its2 good cooperation with the embassy so far.

H.E. Ambassador recalled the Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of Malaysia and the Royal Government of the Kingdom of Cambodia on Cooperation in the Higher Education Sector signed in 2014.

The MoU aims to promote joint research publications, joint curriculum development and other activities such as conferences, lectures, workshops and curriculum development.

Both sides expressed their commitment to further promoting and enhancing cooperation in the fields of education, youth and sports between the two countries.
