The Kingdom of Cambodia and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan are satisfied with the fruitful and long-standing relations between the two nations.
The satisfaction was expressed by H.E. UN Kheang, Secretary of State at the Cambodian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MFAIC), and H.E. Zaheeruddin Babar Thaheem, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Cambodia, during their meeting in Phnom Penh late last week.
According to an MFAIC’s press release issued this afternoon, during the meeting, H.E. Secretary of State commended the positive outcomes of the first meeting of the Joint Trade Committee between Cambodia’s Ministry of Commerce and the Ministry of Commerce of Pakistan, which was held in Cambodia early this year.
Both sides exchanged views on potential expanded cooperation areas like trade, investment, and people-to-people connectivity.
They also emphasised the importance of signing a Memorandum of Understanding on Bilateral Consultation between the two foreign ministries at the earliest convenience because it is the foundation for broadening mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries.
