The Cambodia-China Digital Youth Association (CCDYA) and 16 prominent Cambodian-Chinese KOLs, who collectively have 10 million followers, have united to support and promote Cambodia’s tourism potential—especially through the “Visit Cambodia in the Green Season” campaign, targeting both Chinese and global audiences.
The commitment was made in a meeting here on June 17 between H.E. Huot Hak, Minister of Tourism and Oknha Nito H. Lim and Mr. LI Zhen, Co-Chairs of CCDYA, along with 16 well-known KOLs from Cambodia and China.
Both sides exchanged greetings and discussed cooperation in promoting tourism. They also sought recommendations ahead of their participation in the “Z Generation Lancang-Mekong Short Video XIU Event,” which aims to showcase Cambodia’s tourism potential to audiences in Yunnan Province and around the world.
H.E. Minister expressed his gratitude and high appreciation for the association’s efforts in promoting Cambodian tourism and culture—especially during the Green Season to Chinese and international communities.
H.E. Minister also thanked the Cambodian and Chinese KOLs and influencers for spreading accurate information about Cambodia and counter misinformation through quality visual and video content.
Their collaboration highlights Cambodia as a peaceful country with political stability, strong public security, development across all factors, warm hospitality, diverse accommodations and entertainment, and delicious cuisine—all of which encourage more international and especially Chinese tourists to visit Cambodia.
Both parties agreed to explore the possibility of signing a Memorandum of Understanding on future cooperation in tourism and digital promotion.
H.E. Minister also expressed support for CCDYA’s plan to organise a Cambodia-China KOL event in September–October 2025, aligning with the officially launched Cambodia-China Tourism Year, which began on May 24, 2025.
