Minister Huot Hak Calls for Unified Effort to Elevate Cambodian Tourism

H.E. Huot Hak, Minister of Tourism, has called for unified efforts from tour guides to elevate Cambodia’s tourism sector, playing a bridge of connecting between Cambodia to the world and the world to Cambodia.

He made the remarks while presiding over the opening ceremony of a training course held in Siem Reap province with the participation of tourism operators from hotels, guesthouses, restaurants, massage parlors, and spas — totaling 203 participants — at the Regency Angkor Hotel yesterday afternoon.

The five-day training course was organised with the objective of strengthening and developing the knowledge and skills of tour guides to meet the current demands of the tourism sector.

In his remarks, H.E. Minister expressed deep gratitude to all tour guides and trainees, as well as to tour guides across the country, who have actively contributed to the tourism sector and served as passionate ambassadors promoting Cambodian tourism and sharing positive information about Cambodia to enhance the nation’s reputation on the international stage.

Moreover, he called on all tour guides to continue developing their professional capacity and skills consistently.

H.E. Huot Hak further urged them to unite in solidarity as one big family of the tourism sector, uphold national interests and honor above all, and strictly adhere to their professional ethics and code of conduct.

Additionally, he appealed for broader and more collaborative efforts in promoting the “Visit Cambodia in the Green Season” campaign through content creation and publicity about Cambodia’s tourism potential, aiming to attract both domestic and international tourists.
