Cambodia’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, H.E. Aphi Santepundit Sar Sokha, left here this morning for a three-day official working visit to Singapore aimed at strengthening security cooperation between the two nations.
The visit, which runs from July 7 to 9, 2025, comes at the invitation of Singapore’s Coordinating Minister for National Security and Minister for Home Affairs, H.E. K. Shanmugam.
During his trip, Deputy Prime Minister Sar Sokha will hold bilateral discussions with Minister Shanmugam. A key outcome of these talks is expected to be the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding on the Prevention and Combating of Transnational Crime.
This agreement is designed to enhance collaboration between Cambodian and Singaporean law enforcement agencies in maintaining security and tackling cross-border criminal activities.
The Cambodian delegation is also scheduled to meet with other senior Singaporean leaders and visit institutions focused on public service delivery and strategies to combat the growing threats of online scams and cybercrime.
This high-level visit highlights the ongoing commitment of both Cambodia and Singapore to deepen their security ties and work together to address shared transnational challenges.
