Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, received farewell courtesy calls this afternoon at the Peace Palace in Phnom Penh from the outgoing ambassadors of the Czech Republic, France, and Timor-Leste.
During the separate meetings, the Prime Minister praised the ambassadors for their dedication and active contributions to strengthening and expanding the ties of friendship and cooperation between Cambodia and their respective countries.
Samdech Thipadei reaffirmed Cambodia’s readiness to deepen partnerships with all three nations, expressing appreciation for their efforts during their diplomatic tenures.
The three outgoing ambassadors—H.E. Martin Vávra of the Czech Republic, H.E. Jacques Pellet of France, and H.E. Ermenegildo Kupa Lopes of Timor-Leste—each conveyed their gratitude to the Royal Government of Cambodia and its ministries and institutions for their close cooperation, which ensured the success of their diplomatic missions.
H.E. Martin Vávra affirmed that the Czech Republic would continue to enhance cooperation with Cambodia, particularly in the fields of education, health, and agriculture, and would work to encourage Czech investors to explore opportunities in Cambodia.
H.E. Jacques Pellet shared that Cambodia was the first country where he began and the last where he completed his diplomatic career. He reiterated France’s commitment to strengthen cooperation in key areas such as defence and security, energy, infrastructure, water management, clean water supply, culture, education, and health.
H.E. Ermenegildo Kupa Lopes expressed appreciation for Cambodia’s support of Timor-Leste’s full membership in ASEAN. He noted that his time in Cambodia allowed him to observe and learn from the Kingdom’s socio-economic achievements, which could serve as valuable lessons for the development of Timor-Leste.
