Commerce Minister Visits Cambodian Pavilion at World Expo in Japan


Minister of Commerce H.E. Mrs. Cham Nimul led a delegation to the Cambodian National Pavilion at the 2025 Osaka Kansai World Expo in Japan on Sept. 4.

The visit was to inspect the pavilion’s progress, which has proven to be a popular attraction. As of Sept. 4, the Cambodian pavilion had welcomed 1,319,663 visitors, averaging around 9,101 visitors per day. This accounts for approximately 7 percent of the World Expo’s total attendance of 18,977,000 visitors.

The six-month expo, which runs from April 13 to Oct. 13, 2025, features Cambodia’s pavilion centred on the theme of “Koh Ker Temple.” This design highlights Cambodia’s commitment to preserving its rich cultural heritage, architectural works, and ancient Khmer art.

In addition to the temple theme, the pavilion showcases a variety of Cambodian products, including: Geographically identified goods; Cashew nuts and rice; Copper and silver sculptures; Souvenirs, clothing, and silk; Gold and various works of art.

The exhibition also features videos promoting Cambodia’s historical tourist sites and its economic, trade, investment, and tourism potential.
