H.E. Ambassador Keo Chhea, Permanent Representative of Cambodia to the United Nations (UN), has reaffirms Cambodia’s unwavering commitment to international Law and the UN Charter.
He made the reaffirmation in his statement at the “High-level Plenary Meeting to Commemorate the 65th Anniversary of the Declaration of the Granting of Independence to Colonial Countries and Peoples,” held at the United Nations Headquarters in New York on Dec. 18.
The event was presided over by H.E. Ms. Annalena Baerbock, President of the 80th Session of the United Nations General Assembly.
According to the Permanent Mission of the Kingdom of Cambodia to the United Nations, at the aforementioned meeting, H.E. Keo Chhea reiterated Cambodia’s position to strictly adhere to international law and the Charter of the United Nations, uphold the peaceful settlement of disputes, and respect territorial integrity and national sovereignty while underscoring that these commitments are not only foundational to Cambodia’s national development but also essential to the collective pursuit of peace and justice among nations.
