Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet and First Lady Lok Chumteav Dr. Pich Chanmony Hun Manet have dispatched a high-level delegation to distribute food and essential supplies to frontline military units and provincial authorities in Banteay Meanchey province, signaling continued Royal Government’s support following recent Thai troops invasion.
The delegation, led by H.E. Chrun Theravat, Head of the ruling Cambodian People’s Party (CPP) Central Youth Standing Committee, delivered the aid packages to 12 frontline units and the provincial administration on Sunday.
The mission was seen as a gesture of gratitude for the military’s role in “protecting national integrity.”
During the handover, H.E. Chrun Theravat relayed messages of support from CPP President Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen; Cambodian Red Cross President Samdech Kittiprittpundit Bun Rany Hun Sen; Prime Minister Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet and the First Lady Lok Chumteav Dr. Pich Chanmony. He specifically lauded the armed forces for their performance during two recent periods of heightened border activity: a five-day standoff in late July 2025 and a three-week deployment in December 2025.
“The bravery of our frontline troops has built a strong sense of confidence among Cambodians both at home and abroad,” he said, adding that the Military’s resolve has fostered a “unified front” in support of the Royal Government’s national defence policy.
H.E. Chrun Theravat echoed former Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen’s long-standing stance, stating that Cambodia “will not make concessions on its sovereignty or dignity.”
The distribution also served as a platform for the Royal Government to engage the younger demographic. H.E. Chrun Theravat urged Cambodian youth to remain steadfast in their support of the current administration to ensure continued peace and development.
The aid package includes food rations and various technical equipment intended to improve living conditions for soldiers stationed along the border. The delegation also paid tribute to personnel who lost their lives in the line of duty during past territorial disputes.
