Tourism Ministry Looks to Digital Tools for Expanded Overseas Promotion


The Ministry of Tourism (MoT) is moving to strengthen Cambodia’s presence in international tourism markets by expanding the use of artificial intelligence (AI) and digital tools in its overseas marketing and promotional efforts, according to a Ministry’s statement released on Jan. 20.

Minister of Tourism H.E. Huot Hak, who chaired a meeting on Jan. 19, said the increased emphasis on AI technology is intended to enhance the effectiveness of Cambodia’s tourism promotion abroad, particularly by improving market research, enabling more precise targeting of promotional campaigns, and strengthening digital outreach.

“The increased focus on the use of AI technology is aimed at enhancing the marketing and promotion of Cambodian tourism in international markets,” the Minister said.

He also expressed his appreciation and high commendation for officials at all levels for their dedication, hard work, and sacrifices over the past period, noting that these efforts have contributed to tangible achievements in the tourism sector.
