The Ministry of Tourism (MoT) and the Cambodia Hotel Association (CHA) have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening their partnership to promote Cambodia’s tourism destinations to domestic and international markets.
The commitment was made in a meeting held here on Jan. 22 between Minister of Tourism H.E. Huot Hak and the CHA.
The meeting was aimed at further strengthening close cooperation between the Ministry of Tourism and the Association, as well as jointly identifying key measures to sustain the resilience of the tourism sector and accelerate the momentum of Cambodia’s tourism industry in order to maintain regional competitiveness, the Ministry said in a news release.
H.E. Huot Hak briefed the CHA members on major upcoming international events to be hosted in Cambodia, particularly the 20th Francophonie Summit, scheduled for November 2026.
Leaders from numerous countries, international journalists, and thousands of participants from around the world are expected to attend the high-level summit, he said.
The Minister also provided guidance and recommendations to the CHA members to enhance Cambodia’s image on the international stage, specifically for the country’s tourism, hospitality, accommodation, and food and beverage sectors.
