H.E. Mrs. Cham Nimul, Minister of Commerce, presided over a meeting here on Monday of the inter-ministerial committee to monitor and evaluate the implementation of the National Cashew Policy 2022-2027, with the participation of committee members, representatives of the Cashew Nut Association of Cambodia (CAC), and representatives of provincial governors via video conference.
The meeting was aimed at reviewing and approving the draft mid-term evaluation report on the implementation of the National Cashew Policy 2022-2027 and discussing mechanisms to promote the implementation of this national policy more effectively.
On the occasion, H.E. Mrs. Cham Nimul, Chair of the Inter-Ministerial Committee, expressed appreciation for the results of the monitoring and evaluation process and the cooperation from relevant ministries, institutions, the private sector, and development partners. She noted the outstanding achievements in the implementation of the national policy over the past two and a half years.
In addition, the committee reviewed and discussed the challenges in this sector and sought appropriate solutions to increase the effectiveness of the implementation of this national policy and promote the development of the Cambodian cashew sector.
