Samdech Kittiprittpundit Bun Rany Hun Sen, President of the Cambodian Red Cross, and Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, jointly presided over a Buddhist ceremony on Tuesday to inaugurate a new preaching hall and consecrate mural paintings in Thbong Khmum province.
The Premier was accompanied by his spouse, Lok Chumteav Dr. Pich Chanmony Hun Manet, at the event held in Roka Khnor commune, Kroch Chhmar district. The gathering was attended by senior Royal Government officials, including deputy prime ministers and cabinet ministers, as well as local residents and relatives.
The ceremony featured traditional alms-giving, homage to the Triple Gem, and observance of the Five Precepts. Buddhist chants were led by Acting Supreme Patriarch Om Limheng and Third Deputy Supreme Patriarch Khim San.
Organisers stated the inauguration was held to dedicate merit to the late Oknha Maha Upasika Dhammaniyom Vivat Bun Sieng Ly and Maha Upasika Lin Kry—parents and parents-in-law of the leaders—as an expression of filial piety and remembrance.
