Cambodia and Brazil held high-level talks on Thursday to explore strengthening bilateral cooperation on women’s economic empowerment and entrepreneurship, the Cambodian Ministry of Women’s Affairs said.
Minister H.E. Dr. Ing Kantha Phavi met with Secretary of Asia and the Pacific at Brazil’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs., H.E. Ms. Susan Kleebank, at the Women’s Economic Development and Entrepreneurship Centre in Phnom Penh.
The discussions focused on sharing strategies and experiences to enhance the potential of women and girls, particularly in identifying new opportunities to support female entrepreneurs. Key areas of cooperation discussed include fostering network connections and leveraging technology to bolster women’s economic participation.
Following the meeting, H.E. Ms. Susan Kleebank toured the centre to gain deeper insights into its operational activities, support programmes, and the products and services developed by women entrepreneurs.
The visit included viewing initiatives by provincial women’s development centres, the CPMEC Mart of the Cambodia Chamber of Commerce and Micro Enterprises, the WEE Market Hub, and the offices of the Cambodian Women Entrepreneurs Association (CWEA).
