Minister of Tourism H.E. Huot Hak received a courtesy call and held a working discussion on Mar. 25 with a delegation from the CEO Institute, led by its Chairman Mr. Om Sengbora, along with 70 members.
The meeting aimed to enhance cooperation between the Ministry of Tourism and the CEO Institute in developing human resources and promoting Cambodia’s tourism sector.
During the discussion, H.E. Huot Hak highlighted the Ministry’s key strategies to build a competitive and sustainable tourism industry, with a strong focus on developing skilled and high-quality human resources.
For his part, Mr. Om Sengbora outlined the role and activities of the CEO Institute in setting standards for tourism businesses and strengthening the capacity of tourism entrepreneurs in Cambodia.
He noted that the Institute provides education and professional training to youth and industry professionals to meet labour market demands and support national economic growth.
Mr. Om Sengbora also proposed exploring the possibility of signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) under the “Khmer Must Be Strong” campaign to further strengthen and sustain the tourism sector.
Both sides also discussed organising training programmes, research initiatives, and knowledge-sharing activities to improve service quality and enhance Cambodia’s appeal to both domestic and international tourists.
The meeting marked an important step in strengthening public-private and education sector collaboration, contributing to the continued growth of Cambodia’s tourism industry.
