H.E. Huot Hak, Minister of Tourism, received here on April 6 a delegation from Emirates Airlines led by Mr. Fahad Al Hassawi, Chief Representative for Cambodia, to discuss tourism cooperation and air connectivity.
The meeting focused on strengthening air connectivity and fostering a strategic partnership to showcase Cambodia to a global audience, according to a Ministry of Tourism’s press release issued this afternoon.
During the meeting, Mr. Fahad Al Hassawi updated H.E. Minister on the airline’s operations, introduced the delegation, and announced the official appointment of the new Manager of Emirates Airlines for Cambodia.
Furthermore, he sought high-level recommendations to enable the company to contribute more actively to promoting Cambodia’s tourism sector, including strengthening connectivity through direct flights from Dubai to Phnom Penh and Siem Reap province.
The company reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Cambodia’s tourism and promised to enhance links between the Kingdom, the Middle East, and the rest of the world.
For his part, H.E. Huot Hak praised Emirates Airlines for its active role in enhancing air connectivity and promoting Cambodia’s tourism potential by transporting international travellers to the Kingdom.
He also requested that the airline continue collaborative promotional efforts, such as producing short videos, organising Familiarisation (FAM) trips, and disseminating tourism content across the airline’s media channels.
Currently, Emirates Airlines maintains daily flights from Dubai to Phnom Penh, totaling 14 inbound and outbound flights per week. Regarding Siem Reap Angkor International Airport (SAI), the airline operates six flights per week (three inbound and three outbound).
