The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) highly appreciated the strong leadership of the Cambodian Mine Action and Victim Assistance Authority (CMAA) in managing and coordinating mine action across Cambodia.
The appreciation was highlighted by Ms. Alissar Chaker, UNDP resident representative to Cambodia, in a meeting with H.E. Ly Thuch, Senior Minister and CMAA First Vice President, on Jan. 23.
She was impressed with the remarkable results achieved in the implementation of the National Mine Action Strategy (NMAS) 2018-2025.
Ms. Alissar Chaker reaffirmed UNDP’s continuing support and cooperation with CMAA, including in the preparation of the National Mine Action Policy 2026-2035.
H.E. Ly Thuch thanked UNDP for its unwavering partnership with the Royal Government of Cambodia, particularly in humanitarian mine action in the country.
