The Government of Japan has provided US$192, 509 to build two primary schools in Pursat and Banteay Meanchey provinces under the framework, the Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects, KUSANONE.
The Grant Contracts were signed here late last week between H.E. Ueno Atsushi, Ambassador of the Embassy of Japan in the Kingdom of Cambodia, and representatives of the recipient organisations.
According to the embassy’s press release, “The Project for the Construction of Kul Totoeung Primary School Building in Phnom Krovagn District, Pursat Province” will be implemented by Lutheran Hope Cambodia Organisation, and “The Project for the Construction of Phoum Thmey Primary School Building in O’ Chrov District, Banteay Meanchey Province” will be carried out by Banteay Meanchey Provincial Department of Education, Youth and Sports.
H.E. Ambassador expressed his expectation that this grant will contribute to the improvement of educational environment in Cambodia.
