Cambodian Minister of Tourism H.E. Huot Hak received here on Jan. 27 Mr. Mohammed Al Qassim, Country Manager of Emirates (airline) for Cambodia, and his team for a courtesy call and work discussion on potential collaboration.
In the meeting, both sides discussed ways to strengthen cooperation in the tourism sector, and Emirates’ role in Cambodia was highlighted on the occasion.
H.E. Huot Hak agreed to the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) and appointed focal persons from both parties to discuss the details.
Additionally, he requested the airline to increase its direct flight routes beyond Phnom Penh capital to Siem Reap province, home to the famed Angkor Archeological Park, and Preah Sihanouk, a coastal province in the southwest of the country.
The pair also discussed the promotion of Cambodia’s tourism potential through Emirates’ media channels, with a particular emphasis on collaboration to enhance Muslim tourism.
