MPTC Minister Attends AI for Good Global Summit 2025

H.E. Chea Vandeth, Minister of Post and Telecommunications (MPTC), led a delegation comprising MPTC officials and the Telecommunications Regulator of Cambodia to participate in the AI for Good Global Summit 2025 on July 8, alongside the World Summit on the Information Society +20 High-Level Event 2025 (WSIS+20 High-Level Event 2025) in Geneva, Switzerland.

This five-day summit brought together heads of state and government, ministers, senior officials from various countries, and representatives from leading technology companies, international corporations, and specialised United Nations agencies.

Participants shared experiences and discussed policy formulation, governance, development, and research innovation related to artificial intelligence.

They also explored effective strategies to leverage AI for the benefit of humanity while managing technical, economic, and social risks associated with artificial intelligence.

Since 2017, the AI for Good Global Summit has been organised annually for the purpose of identifying innovative use cases of artificial intelligence, enhancing AI skills and standardisation, and fostering global cooperation on AI initiatives to support its development—particularly contributing to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
