Cambodian Minister of Culture and Fine Arts, H.E. Dr. Phoeurng Sackona, has met with a delegation from Art Exhibition China to discuss cultural cooperation.
During the meeting, held in Phnom Penh on Sept. 16, the Chinese representatives requested to borrow Cambodian artifacts for an upcoming exhibition in China.
H.E. Dr. Phoeurng Sackona expressed her readiness to collaborate, confirming plans to organise a mobile exhibition in China in early 2026. She also called on the Chinese side to continue supporting Cambodia’s efforts to preserve its ancient artifacts.
Both sides further exchanged views and shared experiences on reclaiming and managing ancient objects repatriated from abroad, noting that both Cambodia and China have faced the challenges of cultural property looting.
