Ministry of Tourism and U.S.-ABC to Jointly Promote Cambodia’s Tourism Potential and Investment Opportunities

Minister of Tourism H.E. Huot Hak and H.E. Ambassador Ted Osius, Senior Vice President and Regional Managing Director of the U.S.-ASEAN Business Council (U.S.-ABC), held a meeting here on Dec. 1 to discuss cooperation in the tourism sector.

During the meeting, H.E. Ambassador Osius praised Cambodia’s rapid progress across all sectors since his first visit to the Kingdom in 1996.

He also highlighted the satisfaction of U.S. investors with their previous investments in Cambodia, as well as their improved understanding of the real situation and new investment opportunities offered by the Royal Government of Cambodia.

For his part, H.E. Huot Hak expressed his high appreciation and deep gratitude to H.E. Ted Osius and the council members from ConocoPhillips, Marriott International, Mastercard, Visa, Ford & RMA, Coca-Cola, and Vriens & Partners for choosing Cambodia for multi-million-dollar investments—reflecting strong confidence in the wise leadership of the Royal Government of Cambodia.

He briefed the delegation on Cambodia’s assurance of peace, political stability, safety, good public order, and the guarantees and incentives provided to investors. These conditions, he said, encourage foreign investors to explore Cambodia, a country rich in tourism potential and attractive investment opportunities.

Both sides agreed that Cambodia offers significant tourism potential and promising investment prospects, which they will jointly promote to attract more U.S. tourists and investors to visit the Kingdom and explore new opportunities.
