Thai military forces have continued their brutal and indiscriminate attacks on Cambodian territory in Military Regions 4 and 5 as of this morning, according to H.E. Lt. Gen. Maly Socheata, Spokeswoman of the Ministry of National Defence.
At a press briefing, she reported that at 5:20 a.m., Thai forces launched fresh assaults in Military Region 4, shelling and bombing the areas of Tamone Thom, Ta Krabey, Thmar Daun, and Khnar Temples.
In Military Region 5, a large number of Thai infantry troops, supported by tanks, advanced into the Boeung Trakuon and Prey Chan areas, and shelled Prey Chan pagoda, she added.
H.E. Lt. Gen. Socheata stressed that these brutal and unlawful actions constitute a grave breach of the Ceasefire Agreement and the Joint Declaration signed by Cambodia and Thailand on Oct. 26, 2025, under the auspicious witness of U.S. President Donald J. Trump and Malaysian Prime Minister H.E. Anwar Ibrahim, in his capacity as ASEAN Chair.
She reaffirmed that the Ministry of National Defence and the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces remain fully committed to supporting and implementing the Government’s efforts to resolve the conflict through peaceful means consistent with international law, while resolutely defending Cambodia’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and the safety and well-being of its citizens.
Cambodia therefore urges Thailand to honour the Ceasefire Agreement and the Joint Declaration.
