National Assembly President Samdech Maha Rathsapheathika Thipadei Khuon Sudary accepted a significant donation of humanitarian aid this morning to support soldiers and civilians displaced by ongoing tensions along the Cambodian-Thai border.
The assistance was provided by Mr. Sok Kea, Director of Meatophoum Enterprise, in response to the hardships faced by troops and evacuees following recent border incursions.
The donation consists of essential food items and supplies, including: 1.2 tonnes of fermented paste, 1 tonne of sausage, and 12,000 packets of instant noodles; 15,600 bottles of drinking water and 35 sacks of seasoning powder; and 1,500 pairs of shoes.
Upon receiving the contribution, Samdech Khuon Sudary directed the National Assembly Secretariat to ensure the immediate transport of these supplies to the affected border regions.
Officials confirmed that the distribution process commenced the same day.
The National Assembly President lauded the “strong spirit of national solidarity” displayed by lawmakers, civil servants, and private donors. She emphasised that such contributions are a testament to the nation’s unified support for the Royal Government and the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces.
“The National Assembly stands firmly with our people and our security forces at all times,” Samdech Khuon Sudary stated, urging continued moral and material support for those defending the nation’s sovereignty.
