Cambodia, France Sign Agreement on International Volunteering for Exchange and Solidarity


Cambodia and France have reached an Agreement on International Volunteering for Exchange and Solidarity and the Action of France Volontaires in Cambodia, underscoring its importance in promoting people-to-people exchanges.

The signing ceremony took place here on Dec. 18 under the witness of H.E. Deputy Prime Minister PRAK Sokhonn, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and visiting Mr. Benoît GUIDÉE, Director for Asia and Oceania of the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs of the French Republic, who was in Cambodia as Co-Chair of the Third Session of Cambodia-France Bilateral Political Consultations.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, during their meeting, H.E. PRAK Sokhonn and Mr. Benoît GUIDÉE welcomed the positive momentum in bilateral relations and reaffirmed their shared determination to elevate the historic partnership to new heights.

H.E. Deputy Prime Minister also provided an update on the latest developments regarding the Cambodia-Thailand border conflict.

Mr. Benoît GUIDÉE extended heartfelt condolences and sympathy to the Cambodian civilians who lost their lives and to those displaced by the conflict.
