MoU Signed to Boost Tourism Sector Development

The Ministry of Tourism and Korea’s Go & Do Social Welfare Corporation have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to jointly contribute to the development of Cambodia’s tourism sector.

The signing ceremony was held at the Ministry of Tourism on Tuesday under the witness of H.E. Huot Hak, Minister of Tourism.

Under the MoU, the Korean side will provide support for training and further strengthening Korean language capacity among Cambodian students and tour guides, in response to the needs of the Korean tourist market, which is among Cambodia’s top ten major sources of international visitors.

H.E. Huot Hak highly praised and expressed his sincere appreciation to Mr. Park Woo Hee, President of Go & Do Social Welfare Corporation for the strong cooperation with the Ministry of Tourism in the past, as well as for the new initiatives proposed on this occasion, which he said will significantly contribute to improving the quality of hospitality and reception services for Korean tourists.

The minister also requested the President to consider further expanding cooperation with the Ministry of Tourism to jointly advance Cambodia’s tourism sector, strengthen people-to-people exchanges between Cambodia and the Republic of Korea, and promote mutual tourism flows between the two countries in a more active and extensive manner in 2026.
