Cambodia-Laos Cooperation Strengthened on Agro-product Transport


Cambodia and Laos have agreed to promote cooperation on transporting Cambodian agricultural products to third countries via Laos.

The agreement was reaffirmed during a courtesy meeting this morning at the Peace Palace in Phnom Penh between Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, and visiting H.E. Linkham Douangsavanh, Lao Minister of Agriculture and Environment.

On the occasion, Samdech Thipadei encouraged the Lao side to expedite the necessary procedures to boost cooperation on the transport of Cambodian agricultural products through Laos to third markets. He expressed confidence that the cooperation would bring mutual benefits to the peoples of both countries.

Samdech Thipadei and H.E. Linkham Douangsavanh also exchanged views on broader agricultural cooperation between Cambodia and Laos.

The Prime Minister warmly welcomed the Lao minister’s visit and highlighted the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two nations.

He further expressed satisfaction with the steady growth of bilateral relations and cooperation, noting efforts to further strengthen and expand collaboration in the agricultural sector, alongside positive progress in other areas such as security and national defence, energy, and trade.
