The Kingdom of Cambodia and the People’s Republic of China are strengthening technical cooperation to modernise Cambodia’s environmental sector.
The collaboration was formalised under a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) titled Technical Cooperation on Modernising Cambodia’s Environmental Sector, between the Ministry of Environment of Cambodia and the state-owned enterprise Guangxi Land and Resources Planning and Design Group Co., Ltd.
The signing ceremony was held on Mar. 12 in Nanning, China’s Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, under the presidency of H.E. Khvay Atitya, Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Environment, and Mr. Qi Di, Deputy General Manager of Guangxi Land and Resources Planning and Design Group Co., Ltd.
H.E. Khvay Atitya expressed profound thanks for the partnership, noting that the firm’s contribution is vital to the Ministry’s modernisation efforts specifically regarding the use of satellite imagery and data management systems.
Mr. Qi Di said that this cooperation would allow both parties to establish strategic, concrete operations to build ecological safety and a green future together.
