The 15th Cambodia International Film Festival (CIFF) has officially been launched, positioned as a definitive bridge between the Kingdom’s burgeoning film industry and the global cinematic community, according to senior government officials.
Presiding over the opening ceremony at the Chaktomuk Conference Hall on Mar. 24 evening, H.E. Dr. Phoeurng Sackona, Minister of Culture and Fine Arts, underscored the festival’s escalating influence.
“The 15th Cambodia International Film Festival 2026 serves as a vital platform for linking the Cambodian film sector with the international community,” the Minister stated, noting that the event has evolved into the premier film festival within both Cambodia and the ASEAN region.
The 2026 edition features a curated selection of approximately 150 films from 40 countries, including 60 Cambodian titles. This diverse lineup will be showcased over six days across various venues in Phnom Penh, with all screenings open to the public free of charge.

The ceremony also hosted members of the diplomatic corps, ministry representatives, and a wide gathering of international producers, filmmakers, and artists.
Scheduled to run from Mar. 24 to 29, 2026, the festival combines extensive public screenings with a series of industry-focused supporting events designed to foster professional networking and creative exchange.
