Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet departed this morning for a high-profile official working visit to China from July 15 to 17.
The visit is anchored by his attendance at the 2026 World AI Conference (WAIC) in Shanghai, held under the theme “AI Partnership for a Brighter Future.”
The Prime Minister and his delegation were seen off at Techo International Airport in Kandal province by senior Royal Government officials and members of the Chinese diplomatic corps.
The three-day visit is set to inject fresh momentum into the Cambodia-China Comprehensive Strategic Partnership of Cooperation, accelerate the “Diamond Cooperation Framework,” and advance the building of a Cambodia-China Community with a Shared Future in the New Era.
During his visit, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet is scheduled to call on Chinese President H.E. Xi Jinping and hold a bilateral meeting with Premier H.E. Li Qiang to discuss deepening the two nations’ enduring friendship and expanding mutually beneficial cooperation.
Additionally, the Prime Minister will engage with prominent leaders of the Chinese business community to foster new trade and investment opportunities.
The Prime Minister is accompanied by a robust delegation of senior Royal Government officials and private sector leaders, including H.E. Prak Sokhonn, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation; H.E. Sun Chanthol, Deputy Prime Minister and First Vice Chairman of the Council for the Development of Cambodia; H.E. Tea Seiha, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence; as well as other ministers, senior officials, and key representatives of the Cambodian business community.
