Qatar Provides Nearly US$14 Million to Help Out-of-school Children in Cambodia


Qatar has provided US$13,823,383 million to help Cambodian out-of-school children to have access to education, especially those at primary level.

H.E. Hang Chuon Naron, Cambodian Minister of Education, Youth and Sports (MoEYS) and Mr. Khalifa Bin Jassim AL-Kuwari, Director General of Qatar Fund for Development have recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the assistance via videoconference.

The MoU reflects the cooperation between MoEYS and the Qatar Foundation for Development.

H.E. Hang Chuon Naron expressed his gratitude to Qatar Foundation for Development for its commitment to assist Cambodian school dropouts at the primary level, stressing that the assistance will contribute to ensuring equitable access to education and to enhancing the opportunity for life-long education for all in Cambodia.
