Cambodian PM Has Trilateral Working Breakfast with Lao and Vietnamese Counterparts


The trilateral working breakfast between Cambodian, Lao, Vietnamese leaders this morning mainly focused on five important points to promote and deepen the cooperation between their nations.

This important event was held on the sidelines of the 43rd ASEAN Summit and Related Summits in Jakarta, Indonesia between Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, H.E. Pham Minh Chinh, Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, and H.E. Sonexay Siphandone, Prime Minister of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic.

The leaders of Indochina discussed and agreed in principle as follows: First, to continue to maintain the tradition of having trilateral working breakfast before the opening of regional summits, which always provide a lot of benefits for the three countries. Second, to continue to work together on the remaining issues. Third, to continue to implement the border demarcation mechanism between the three countries to complete the work as soon as possible. Fourth, to continue the cooperation between the three countries on socio-economic aspect, security, people-to-people exchange, culture and traditions. Last but not least, to strengthen the relations and connectivity between the three countries by all means, including infrastructure such as bridges, roads, railways and ports, supply chains, and tourism.

The Vietnamese Premier took the opportunity to convey his greetings to Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, President of the Supreme Privy Council to His Majesty the King, and expressed his desire to meet with him in the near future.

For his part, the Lao Prime Minister invited Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet to pay an official visit to Laos in 2024.
