The Ministry of Tourism of Cambodia and the Cambodia-China Friendship Radio of the China Media Group (CMG) have officially committed to organizing a series of engaging tourism promotion activities aimed at attracting more Chinese visitors to Cambodia during the upcoming Green Season.
This joint initiative was discussed during a meeting held in Phnom Penh on May 8 between H.E. Huot Hak, Minister of Tourism of the Kingdom of Cambodia, and Mr. Feng Hui, Director of Cambodia-China Friendship Radio, along with their respective teams.
The collaboration follows the Memorandum of Understanding signed and exchanged between the Ministry and CMG during the state visit of Chinese President H.E. Xi Jinping to Cambodia on April 17–18, 2025. The MoU was endorsed under the high patronage of Chinese President H.E. Xi Jinping and Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet.
As part of the implementation plan, both parties will work together to film and promote key tourist destinations in Cambodia and China, enhance tourism awareness, and build mutual trust between the two nations. Special promotional campaigns will feature well-known Chinese celebrities and social media influencers who will visit Cambodia to create content highlighting the country’s cultural and natural attractions.
During the meeting, Mr. Feng Hui also delivered a letter of appreciation from H.E. Shen Haixiong, President of China Media Group, to H.E. Huot Hak for his strong support of the CMG program “Chinese Classical Sentences Preferred by President Xi Jinping,” which has achieved remarkable success in Cambodia.
Cambodia-China Friendship Radio is a branch of CMG, the world’s largest multimedia organization, formed through the merger of China Central Television (CCTV), China National Radio (CNR), and China Radio International (CRI). Officially launched on April 19, 2018, CMG broadcasts globally in over 80 languages.
