The Ministry of Tourism of Cambodia and the International Economic and Technical Cooperation Company, which operates more than 500 branches across China, have discussed potential cooperation in vocational and professional training programmes that meet current market needs, particularly in the fields of Smart Tourism and Hotel Management.
The discussion took place yesterday afternoon at the Ministry between H.E. Huot Hak, Minister of Tourism, and Mrs. Hu Heng, Director General of the Department of Foreign Affairs of the International Economic and Technical Cooperation Company, headquartered in Wuhan City, People’s Republic of China.
On the occasion, H.E. Minister Huot Hak expressed his appreciation and high regard for the company’s initiative to support human resource development in Cambodia’s tourism sector, especially through training programmes for teachers and students in Smart Tourism and Hotel Management. These efforts aim to improve education quality and expand employment opportunities in the industry.
Both sides also agreed to strengthen cooperation in enhancing Chinese language proficiency among Chinese-speaking tour guides and to organise additional training courses to meet the growing demand from Chinese tourists.
Moreover, the two parties discussed establishing partnerships with Chinese counterparts to jointly organise major tourism exchange conferences and international vocational tourism education events in Cambodia. The Ministry welcomed these initiatives and reaffirmed its readiness to provide full support and facilitation for the company’s cooperation efforts.
