Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, held a bilateral meeting with H.E. Christopher Luxon, Prime Minister of New Zealand, on the sidelines of the 47th ASEAN Summits and Related Summits in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on Oct. 27.
During the meeting, Samdech Thipadei praised the good relations and cooperation between Cambodia and New Zealand and highlighted the potential for further expanding bilateral trade.
He briefed his New Zealand counterpart on Cambodia’s economic progress and development priorities, including efforts to diversify export markets and product types. Cambodia, he added, possesses significant potential within the framework of various bilateral and multilateral trade agreements.
In this regard, Samdech Thipadei encouraged H.E. Christopher Luxon to urge New Zealand investors to explore investment opportunities in Cambodia.
For his part, the New Zealand Premier emphasised that the two countries have complementary strengths and agreed to continue promoting cooperation across multiple sectors.
H.E. Christopher Luxon also thanked Cambodia for supporting the establishment of the ASEAN–New Zealand Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
Besides, both leaders exchanged views on a number of regional and global issues of common interest.
