Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet this morning received H.E. Cho Hyun, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea (RoK), at the Peace Palace in Phnom Penh.
On the occasion, H.E. Cho Hyun lauded the steady progress of relations and cooperation between the two nations across various sectors.
For his part, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet expressed his appreciation to the RoK for its active contribution to Cambodia’s socio-economic development. He also highly valued the official visit of the South Korean Foreign Minister, stressing that it would further deepen the friendship and cooperation between Cambodia and the RoK.
The Cambodian Premier thanked the Korean government for its continued care and support for Cambodian citizens living and working in Korea, while affirming that ensuring the safety and well-being of Korean nationals residing and working in Cambodia remains a high priority for the Royal Government.
Both sides discussed ways to further strengthen and expand bilateral cooperation in several key areas, including economy, investment, trade, national defence and security, industry, the establishment of special economic zones for Korean enterprises, people-to-people exchanges, and tourism promotion – all aimed at enhancing the partnership for the mutual benefit of the peoples of both countries.
