CCCC Reaffirms Commitment to Supporting Cambodia’s Infrastructure Development

China Communications Construction Company Ltd. (CCCC) has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Cambodia’s infrastructure development and ensuring the successful implementation of key projects across the Kingdom.

The commitment was expressed by Mr. Song Hailiang, Chairman of CCCC, during a courtesy call and working meeting with Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, President of the Senate and President of the Cambodian People’s Party, in Beijing on June 26, according to Samdech Techo’s spokesman, H.E. Chea Thyrith.
During the meeting, Mr. Song welcomed Samdech Techo and expressed his pleasure at meeting him once again, describing him as an outstanding leader who has consistently supported the company’s business operations and infrastructure projects in Cambodia.

He briefed Samdech Techo on CCCC’s global development, particularly its operations in Cambodia, where the company currently operates 23 branches. More than 70 percent of its workforce in the Kingdom consists of Cambodian nationals, he noted.

Mr. Song added that over the past two decades, CCCC has undertaken around 70 infrastructure projects in Cambodia, contributing significantly to the country’s development and economic growth.

He reaffirmed the company’s determination to continue supporting Cambodia’s infrastructure expansion and to work closely with the Royal Government led by Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, particularly in promoting green development and sustainable transformation. He noted that this commitment had also been conveyed to the Prime Minister during his recent visit to Cambodia.

For his part, Samdech Techo Hun Sen praised CCCC’s growth and achievements worldwide, especially its contributions in Cambodia.

He highly valued the company’s longstanding role in supporting the Kingdom’s infrastructure development and encouraged it to continue paying close attention to major projects currently under implementation, including the Funan Techo Canal, the Phnom Penh-Bavet Expressway, and National Road No. 50C linking Kampong Chhnang and Kampong Thom provinces.

Samdech Techo also called for continued support and enhanced efforts to ensure the successful completion of these projects, which are expected to play an important role in strengthening Cambodia’s infrastructure network and long-term development.
