Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet has highlighted the important role of Achar and Acharini in preserving Khmer traditions and customs, strengthening grassroots solidarity, educating children and youth, and promoting moral and ethical values in Cambodian society.

Speaking at a get-together with Achar and Acharini at the National Institute of Education in Phnom Penh this morning, Samdech Thipadei said they have made significant contributions to preserving Cambodia’s traditional customs, cultural heritage and religious beliefs, while serving as an important link between local communities and wider Cambodian society.

The Prime Minister encouraged Achar and Acharini to use social media and digital platforms responsibly and constructively to promote their mission, while maintaining common standards and demonstrating morality, ethics and social responsibility.

He called on them to continue contributing to the safeguarding and promotion of Buddhism, Khmer traditions, customs and culture in order to foster a harmonious and cohesive society.

Samdech Thipadei also underlined their role in providing moral and spiritual guidance to communities and strengthening the connection between Buddhist temples, Buddhism and Cambodian society.

Through these roles, Achar and Acharini serve as an important pillar in preserving Cambodia’s cultural identity, passing traditional values from one generation to another, and promoting social harmony and solidarity at the community level.
