Deputy Prime Minister H.E. Mrs. Men Sam An has signified Cambodian women’s role in the cause of the national unity, social security and development.
H.E. Mrs. Men Sam An who is also Minister of National Assembly-Senate Relations and Inspection shared the insight in a ceremony to observe the 111st anniversary of the International Women’s Day under the theme “Gender Equality Today for Future Sustainability” organised by the Committee of Cambodian Women Association for Peace and Development here in Phnom Penh on Mar. 1.
Cambodian women have received training, and participated in peacekeeping abroad under the United Nations unbrella, she added.
She also spoke highly of the women’s achievement in transforming from their occupations from the traditional to professional ones.
